I’m not a hapa but my daughter is... she's 4 years old and I already get the "oh how beautiful she is" and "wow, mixing really did her good" comments from family and complete strangers. I’ll do all I can to make sure she knows where she comes from, and how to carry her culture and ethnicity the "right" way.

Society makes it hard on humans in general but when it comes down to it… the admiration of another is simply opinion until they really get to know someone.

Oh yeah… I also have a cat named Hapa… :)
